    Overview:

  • IBTCI is seeking an M&E Specialist to support its work under a USAID-funded project if awarded. The M&E Specialist will support activities related to evaluations, assessments, and capacity building. Must be a Malawi National. The position is contingent upon award. Must be a Malawi National.

    Responsibilities

  • Data collection,

  • Data analysis;

  • Data reporting;

  • Survey design particularly short spot surveys;

  • Conducting survey QC;

  • Conduct Data verification and Data Quality Assessments;

  • Conducting Key Informant Interviews;

  • Providing interpretation as needed;

  • Draft relevant sections of reports for the donor;

  • S/he also will participate in presenting the report to USAID or other stakeholders and be responsible for addressing pertinent comments provided by USAID/Malawi or other stakeholders;

  • Other duties as required.

  • Serve in the above consultant capacity to support the IBTCI technical practices of Crisis, Conflict & Governance, Agriculture & Food
    Security & Economic, Education & Growth and Global Health and/or Business Development divisions.

  • This position does not authorize/require the consultant to directly communicate with IBTCI clients.

  • This position does not authorize/require the consultant to have decision making authority on final work product.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

  • At least five years of field experience in monitoring and evaluation;

  • Sectoral experience with Agriculture, Environment, Global Climate Change, or Natural Resource Conservation preferred;

  • Familiarity with baseline and annual surveys and also performance evaluations using a variety of methodologies required;

  • Previous USAID experience;

  • The candidate must be professionally proficient and fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Education: Degree in Agriculture, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, International Development, Fisheries, Natural Resources, Environment, Global Climate Change, or a related field.
