Your Role and Responsibilities
Program Manager – Security enablement program (MEA)
The Program Manager of the MEA Security enablement program is responsible for all the elements of enablement for IBM Security in MEA for IBMer, Business Partners and Customers across Security Services and Solutions.
The Elements Involved Include planning andbudgeting, speaker sourcing, logistical arrangements such as venue, catering,travel. Workshop hosting and management, delegate management. Reporting and ROImeasurement. Compliance and CTEBA management.
The Security Enablement program is a keyfunction in the Security business in MEA and ensures that the IBM team,Business partners and Customers are fully aware and up to date on IBMsolutions, services and the latest developments relating to the Security portfolio.
The Program Manager works closely with the World Wide enablement and Offering management teams, MEA Leadership and local SMEs and key Business Partners to understand their goals, strategies and needs to be able to “translate” this info into an enablement program designed to increase the skills and knowledge of IBMers, BPs and Customers.
This position requires knowledge of the Tech industry, IBM and IBM strategy, IBM Cloud and Cognitive strategy and IBM Security strategy and tactics.
Understanding and being able to navigate withinthe world of IBM is an essential part of this position.
A thorough understanding of IBM Compliance processes and tools, Event management tools,Procurement tools and Learning platforms are essential.
An understanding of the countries and cultures that make up MEA and the unique challenges that each country has not only relating to the political, social, economic and cultural matters but also to the Tech industry, IBM and IBM Security.
A deep understanding of event planning and management is core to the success of the position with the ability to seamlessly move from “big picture” thinking to focusing on the small details.
Candidates must be able to balance “Innovation”with “Tried and tested” to not lose sight of what the “client” needs and be constantly on the lookout for different ways to enable his/her client base.
The ability to work with and communicate effectively with many different languages,cultures and backgrounds over multiple time zones is key.
5+ years of multi-regional enablement program management
3+ years in IBM with demonstrable skills in navigating successfully in IBM
Experience in working with Business Partners
Experience in working with Technical users of solutions
Program and Event management skills
High levels of cultural awareness
Understanding of the IBM, IBM Cloud and IBM Security Strategy and the implications of this on the current skill sand knowledge of IBMers and BPs.
An understanding of the MEA Skills shortage situation and the implications to IBM Security.
Readiness to travel extensively in MEA
Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Evidence of continuous learning post degree.
Previous employment by Multinational corporations
