    Tasks & Responsibilities

    Human Resource Function

  • Confidential filing of physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts, attendance, benefits, etc. according to policy and legal requirements

  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, background checks, development of training and onboarding material and providing counselling on policies and procedures

  • Update and maintain company policies and procedures

  • Ensure employee payroll data is up to date and all statutory requirements are met

  • Ensure compliance to employee health, safety and welfare policies and procedures.

  • Implementing and communicating disciplinary procedures and dealing with employee grievances

  • Overseeing employee exit requirements

  • Assist with employee performance management

  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance

    Administration Function

  • Office Management: Welcome visitors, coordinate company meetings and events, facility, Office supplies sourcing and outsourced services and overseeing social events.

  • Daily updates of social media;

  • Ensure efficient use of company assets and resources and their security;

  • Prepare a monthly cost report; Ensure timely reports on incidents within the company

  • Travel: Arrange and schedule for all employee travel logistics and accommodation

  • Payments: Enter payments for approval, Manage petty-cash payments

  • Accounting: Pre-accounting work
    and documents filing

  • Maintaining a clean and enjoyable working environment; Keep counter and display area clean, organized and presentable

    Desired Competencies & Skills

  • A minimum of a Higher Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent

  • At least a years’ relevant work experience. Experience in the manufacturing sector is an added advantage;

  • Exposure and understanding of Kenyan Labour Laws

  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects

  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills

  • Spirited; energetic, enthusiastic and works well under pressure and a Team Player

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, applications and internet-savvy.
