Job Summary:

  • Provide effective front office and the switchboard operations services to effectively support all the functions of the hotel. Welcome guests, check guests in and out of the hotel, deal with guest queries, provide prompt and professional guests service to meet guests needs and ensure guest satisfaction.

    Job Requirements

  • Give a warm and friendly welcome to all guests upon arrival in a professional manner

  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction through the prompt handling of guest queries in a friendly and efficient manner.

  • Answer and direct incoming call in courteous manner

  • Inform guests of hotel rates and services

  • Carry out all Reception duties, working as part of the Front Office Team (reception, reservations and concierge).

  • Ensure proper room allocation and confirm relevant guest information.

  • Register, check guests in and issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms.

  • Ensure the front office is kept safe and clean by conducting routine checks and guiding the housing keeper to areas that need cleaning.

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings

  • Compute all guest billings, accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts

  • Listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone

  • Provide accurate information about local attractions and services

  • Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests

  • Complete and maintain any incident reports, daily activity reports or other reports requested by management

    Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business
    Administration, Hotel / Hospitality Management or relevant field.

  • Must have at least three (2) years of related work experience with increasing responsibilities.

  • Have strong computer skills, especially MS-Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of the hotel information.

  • Have good judgment and seek guidance as appropriate when confronted with unanticipated problems.

  • Ability to effectively manage office resources.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Conduct oneself professionally and courteously to represent the best interests of the hotel.

  • Maintain a high-performance standard with attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyse and solve problems and make sound decisions.
