Hollywoodbets Internal Control Accountant Jobs in South Africa;The Internal Control Accountant will strengthen the control environment for iBranch operations, ensuring all transactions are auditable, valid, and accurate. The role involves adapting procedures for system upgrades and new products, safeguarding the business against financial loss, and supporting reconciliations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Metrics & Operations

  • Work closely with senior accountants and Group iBranch Accountant.

  • Detect reconciliation weaknesses and identify risks.

  • Ensure all transactions are accounted for in Pastel and reconciled.

  • Reconcile mobile vouchers and gambling tax payments.

  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.

  • Implement controls for third‑party integrations.

  • Escalate unresolved debit balances and variances.

  • Test interactions and new products with development teams.

  • Oversee deployment of reconciliation software.

  • Support junior staff and resolve variances.

  • Submit daily reports summarizing reconciliation sign‑offs.

  • Identify and rectify weaknesses in procedures and policies.

    Compliance, Risk & Quality

  • Create, maintain, and enforce company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support risk register maintenance.

  • Maintain process write‑ups and system descriptions.

  • Produce high‑quality reconciliations and financial models.

  • Ensure logical saving and backup of financial records.

  • Submit monthly reconciliations with supporting documentation.

  • Summarize daily findings for Group Retail Accountant and Group Risk Manager.

  • Liaise with internal, external, SARS, NCA, and BEE auditors.

  • Promote declaration of gifts and
    conflicts of interest.

  • Escalate shortages of R2,000 or greater.

  • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with FICA/AML regulations.

  • Maintain secure handling of personal information.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and update policies/templates.

    Growth & Innovation

  • Manage supplier relationships.

  • Source new products, innovations, and predictive analysis tools.

  • Support development of existing products/software.

  • Contribute to company projects and lead initiatives as allocated.

    Qualifications

  • Matric with English and Mathematics.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • 2 years’ practical auditing/accounting experience.

  • Own transport preferred.

  • SAICA Articles and Pastel Evolution knowledge an advantage.

  • Strong accountability and dedication.

  • Ability to plan and organize administrative functions proactively.

  • Accuracy in data collection and reporting.

  • Problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset.
