Principal Accountabilities

• Undertaking periodically the development and review of policies, regulations and guidelines in order to guide the implementation of Board programmes;

• Undertaking effectively the development, implementation and review of the Board’s Balanced Scorecard and Strategic Plan in order to ensure the attainment of set objectives;

• Undertaking periodically research activities in order to generate information;

• Undertaking timely preparation of project proposals in order to mobilise technical and financial resources;

• Undertaking effectively mainstreaming of cross cutting issues into Board plans and programmes in order ensure equity and social inclusion;

• Undertaking timely preparation of the Board’s annual budget in order to facilitate resource mobilisation and implementation of programmes;

• Undertaking effectively strategic collaborations and liaisons with agencies offering scholarships and other key stakeholders in order to facilitate resource mobilisation and projects;

• Undertaking effectively the development and maintenance of a database in order to facilitate the storage, retrieval and dissemination of policy and planning information;

• Undertaking effectively the monitoring and
evaluation of the Board’s policies, plans and programmes in order to facilitate the development of appropriate interventions;

• Undertaking effectively the preparation of quarterly, annual and other reports in order to facilitate informed decision-making; and

• Undertaking timely development of work plans and performance appraisal in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate; and

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Public Administration, Development Studies or its equivalent.

Skills and Attributes

• Able to write technical and analytical reports;

• Able to communicate fluently in English; and

• Other Skills/Attributes: Negotiation, Interpersonal and Research skills, Integrity.
