Health Service Commission Assistant Commissioner - Institutional and Systems Development Jobs in Uganda

Qualifications:

MBChB or BDS or Bachelor of Pharmacy or BSc. Nursing or Medical Laboratory Technology or Radiography, or Health Education or Education Management or Organizational Psychology or Human Resource Development from a recognized
University or Institution.

Master’s Degree in Health Education or Education Management, or Organizational
Development, or Human Resource Development or Health Systems Development
from a recognized University or Institution.

Experience:

Should have nine (9) years’ relevant working experience, three (3) of which should
have been served at Principal Officer level.

Other requirements:

Should have a thorough knowledge of health services management.

Should have strong management, communication and interpersonal skills.

Should have integrity

Duties and Responsibilities:

Formulate policies and guidelines for institutional and systems development.

Review and document institutional and systems development gaps.

Develop plans and strategies for institutional and systems development.

Develop budgets and mobilize resources for institutional and systems development.

Execute specific change and organizational development initiatives.

Monitor and evaluate institutional and systems development plans and strategies.

Develop and implement capacity building plans for institutional and systems development.

Prepare and submit performance plans and reports on institutional and systems development.

Supervise, coach and appraise performance of subordinate staff.

Provide support supervision to the sector staff.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
