  • Our client is a primary school running the CBC curriculum based in Nyali, Mombasa and are seeking to hire a Head Teacher / Admin.

    Responsibilities

  • Raise and maintain, the highest possible academic standards through overseeing all aspects of the School’s academic program.

  • The Head Teacher will be responsible for academic planning and outcomes; curriculum development and implementation; student inclusion and welfare, and building and promoting collaborative relationships with all stakeholder.

  • Ensure the efficient organization and administration of the Kenyans School’s curriculum and its assessment and reporting procedures.

  • Oversee the creation and running of the academic timetable and daily cover for staff absence.

  • Oversee the development and management of internal and external examinations, including timetables, invigilation, grading systems, collation, and analyses of results.

  • Monitor the standards of teaching and learning throughout the School and constantly review the balance and breadth of the curriculum, and ensure its effective delivery.

  • Ensure that departmental handbooks, including schemes of work and policy documents, are updated and well understood by academic staff..

  • Oversee the effective provision of Curriculum Enrichment opportunities including the co-curricular program of the school.

  • Ensure appropriate policies and training are in place to support all staff in both Academic and Administrative spheres

  • Ensure the smooth running of the student admission process in liaison with the School Registrar and parents.

  • Oversee the induction program for new teachers in liaison with the Human Resources Department.

  • Design the timetable for the classes according to
    the CBC curriculum.

  • Keep account of statistics of the students and submitting a report monthly.

  • Marketing of the school to have good figures on students .

  • Organize company art competitions, sports day ,graduation ,fun-day and concerts.

    Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification, senior leadership experience with evidence of making significant whole-school improvement in pupil outcomes.

  • Matured and experienced (35 and above ).

  • Recent participation in relevant CBC activities and commitment to lifelong learning.

  • 8 years of proven teaching experience in the British National curriculum or CBC curriculum.
