G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading global integrated security solutions company has a permanent vacancy for a Facilities Supervisor for our Head Office in Centurion.

Reporting to the facilities Manager, the main responsibility of a Facilities Supervisor is to provide an effective management of cleaning services and building maintenance

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which administration plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.


Responsibilities


Develop, implement and manage cleaning services SLAs

  • Design and implement a service level agreement, incorporating all cleaning requirements for all business units
  • Review SLA timeframes with Facilities Manager and report on maintenance of SLA deadlines and poor performance
  • Implement and manage poor performance corrective measures
  • Review and amend SLA agreement as needed, in line with adjustments/requests

    Management of suppliers and stock levels relating to cleaning

  • Liaise with suppliers re services and SLAs on delivery and requirements
  • Order and maintain stock, stock levels, and issue stock as required
  • Consolidate all requirements, before placing orders
  • Perform monthly stock take and submit reports in line with stock requirements
  • Source and procure suppliers within procedures/guidelines

    Staff management and development

  • Responsible for
    monthly meetings and meeting outputs.
  • Ensure all cleaners have clearly defined site instructions
  • Ensure performance contracts are in place and measurements for service level
  • Apply poor performance management or employee relations management principles and processes should this be required
  • Provide support, coaching (train) and mentoring continuously to ensure that objectives are met
  • Ensure completed development plans for each employee
  • Ensure that events/activities taking place in team are effectively communicated within the team and to other teams requiring the information
  • Ensure adequate succession planning to meet on going and anticipated business requirements
  • Review and manage training requirements for new and existing staff

    Management of cleaning operations

  • Allocate resources appropriately to ensure operational demands are met
  • Compile, review and monitor cleaning roster, ensuring all SLA requirements are met
  • Monitor Time and attendance of cleaning staff, and ensure all information relating to hours worked, missed, or short is reported, and actioned.
  • Ensure effective Leave planning and rotation occurs
  • Review and manage provision of tea and coffee stations, and levels of stock/condiments


    Requirements:


  • Grade 12
  • Qualification in Facilities Management would be advantageous
  • 3-5 years experience in Cleaning Management
  • Previous experience in Facilities
  • Management would be an added advantage
  • Procurement procedures and polices
    Sound procurement practice
  • Negotiation skills
  • Supporting and working with others
  • Delivering objectives
  • Computer Literacy
