Purpose

To analyse customer and / or payment information to identify potential suspicious transactions and/or individuals in order to mitigate / reduce the incidence of financial crimes against the bank.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Post Graduate qualification
  • 8 to 10 Years banking experience
  • Card acquiring/issuing experience advantageous

    Responsibilities
  • Achieve net profit growth for Group
  • Achieve revenue targets by either growing a portfolio of existing clients (optimising revenue opportunities) or by acquiring new clients
  • Establish, align and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency
  • Develop a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external parties to support the sales strategy
  • Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to
    relevant stakeholders
  • Maximise cross sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships
  • Track, control and influence sales activities with the specific aim to achieve previously determined sales team targets.
  • Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
    Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices.
  • Ensure drafting and implementation of appropriate interventions. Ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Develop rigorous business cases to drive new, differentiated market growth strategies (e.g. new product and market development) as well as defensive strategies to maintain market share
  • Develop a deep understanding of the technical trends, market, competition and trends in the market.
  • Research and identify new entrants in the relevant industries (mobile, payments, finance etc).
  • Assess opportunities and threats from these entrants
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data
  • Manage own development to increase own competencies
  • Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the business unit strategy through the development and implementation of the People Strategy and operational objectives
