Purpose

To analyse customer and / or payment information to identify potential suspicious transactions and/or individuals in order to mitigate / reduce the incidence of financial crimes against the bank.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification : Grade 12
  • Preferred qualification : Basic bookkeeping
  • Minimum years of relevant experience : 0 to 2 Years work experience in similar financial or accounting environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel in terms of creating spreadsheets, charts and using financial functions
  • Good understanding of accounting principles

    Additional Requirements
  • Reviewing purchase orders submitted to eBFinance
  • Capturing purchase orders within the accounting system
  • Receiving purchase orders
    delivered
    Invoice capturing for manual internal transactions
  • Intercompany journal capturing for manual transactions
  • Manual capturing of returned itemsthroughout the month
  • Assisting with stock reconciliations
  • Investigating stock variances andidentifying root causes
  • Journal capturing (ad hoc)
  • Liaise with internal business areas and suppliers to address queries
  • Participate in stock counts (when required)
    Assist with any ad-hoc projects (finance or business) that may be assigned from time to time
  • Support/ stand-in for staff where necessary

    Responsibilities
  • Adhere to policies and procedures to manage costs
  • Contribute to a culture of service excellence, which builds positive relationships and provides opportunity for feedback and exceptional service
  • Administer day to day finances of the business unit, working within FNB processes, systems and procedures
  • Manage payments and invoicing within agreed timelines
  • Maintain accurate records for all financial transactions of the business unit
  • Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
  • Develop and nurture internal relationships within FNB enabling collaboration
