Reporting to the Technical / Fire Supervisor, the Technician will conduct the installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of the Fire fighting systems (Hose reel system, Sprinkler systems, Hydrant Systems and Gas suppression systems) following blueprints of the building layout plans.
Conduct maintenance/installation as per the schedule provided promptly with the worksheets and/or delivery notes ( Daily Technician KPI)
Ensure work schedules for both installations and maintenance of contractual and ad hoc fire systems are closed and well reported to the supervisor accompanied with worksheets
Ensure systems healthy status and Fire systems servicing to prevent customer complaints on service delivery
Ensure all fire services are executed profitably and in compliance to standardized business practices
Conduct accident reviews for all incidences within 2 weeks of the occurrence
Avoid repeat jobs; Reduce/ Eliminate incidents and customer claims
Ensure 95% completion rate of work schedules by day and update your supervisor on daily work progress, any challenges and or recommendations for customer satisfaction
Ensure timely implementation of customer service tickets as scheduled and drive nil target terminations record due to customer service delivery issues.
Ensure systems are maintained in a cost effective way and as scheduled (accountable for fire Fleet Fuel costs).
Ensure strict compliance with the G4S golden rules, minimum standards and all related policies
Support and implement
health and safety initiatives at the lowest level
Knowledge and Qualifications
A diploma in Plumbing and pipe fitting Engineering field or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution
Minimum 3 years professional Experience in plumbing fire systems
Knowledge in plumbing of fire systems.
Microsoft Word – Intermediate level.
Microsoft Excel – Intermediate level (Advance level are advantageous).
Microsoft PowerPoint – Basic level.
Google suite of products.
