Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Housekeeping Supervisor Jobs in Kenya



Job Description

  • Ensure turnover of rooms quickly and efficiently.

  • Ensure Room Attendants’ work meets Fairmont standards.

  • Assign Room Attendants to rooms and tasks daily.

  • Maintain inventory of guest supplies.

  • Prepare deep cleaning schedules and ensure implementation.

  • Inspect rooms using checklists and sign off at end of shift.

  • Recommend promotions, recognition, or dismissals of Room Attendants.

  • Maintain records of overtime and special days worked.

  • Block rooms for advanced maintenance and cleaning programmes.

  • Report defective machinery to Engineering and Executive Housekeeper.

  • Handle cleaning priorities (VIP, Make Up, Early Arrival, DND).

  • Manage supplies and consumables within budget.

  • Communicate delays in service delivery to guests.

  • Liaise with Coordinator on emergencies and guest requests.

  • Ensure Room Attendants are consistently well groomed.

  • Conduct sit‑downs with staff for training and discipline.

  • Maintain professional posture and appearance.

  • Understand all room categories and layouts.

  • Comply with hotel rules, grooming, uniform, and attendance policies.

  • Participate in training and development programs.

  • Contribute to departmental meetings.

  • Fulfill guest requests promptly and accurately.

  • Anticipate guest needs and demonstrate service attitude.

  • Resolve guest complaints appropriately.

  • Maintain product and service knowledge.

  • Ensure OH&S compliance and safe procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
