ExxonMobil Electrical Specialist Jobs in Nigeria;The Electrical Technician will serve as a subject matter expert for electrical equipment, processes, and procedures. The role involves troubleshooting complex electrical issues, supporting maintenance and project design reviews, ensuring compliance with SHE requirements, and mentoring colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Execution

  • Implement maintenance design philosophies for electrical equipment.

  • Provide technical support and coordination across business lines.

  • Support cost management and productivity improvement plans.

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide operations support.

  • Contribute technical input to training development and delivery.

    Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship

  • Share best practices and provide feedback.

  • Develop strong personal expertise and mentor colleagues across the organization.

    Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to SHE requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Influence without authority and collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

    Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma in Electrical, City & Guilds Level 4, or equivalent apprenticeship program.

  • BSc in Engineering or related sciences acceptable with 5+ years’ verifiable electrical technician experience.

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen with NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.

    Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years’ electrical technician work experience.

  • Previous offshore or FPSO experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of HV & LV power distribution and control networks.

  • Hands‑on skills in minor repairs, routine maintenance, and adjustments.

  • Ability to interpret transmitters, sensors, gauges, control valves, and electrical diagrams.

  • Familiarity with ESD, Fire & Gas systems, CMMS (SAP), and control logic diagrams.

  • Technical knowledge of motor drives, alternators, inverters, switchgear, breakers, and protection devices.

  • Strong attention to detail, hazard identification, and mitigation.
