Electricity Regulatory Authority Human Resource Officer Jobs in Uganda

The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) is a Statutory Body established in accordance with the Electricity Act, 1999, Chapter 145 of the Laws of Uganda. The Act empowers ERA to regulate the Generation, Transmission, Sale, Export, Import and Distribution of Electrical Energy in Uganda.

The Authority seeks to recruit a competent and well-motivated person to fill the vacant position of Human Resource Officer. The position is contractual, running for an initial Five (5) year period and subject to renewal, upon satisfactory performance.

To advise ERA on Human Resources Strategies and Policies and ensure that the Human Resource Function provides the support required to implement them.

Responsibilities

Develop, review and implement HR Policies and Procedures.

Carry out Skills Audit, recommend appropriate Staff Development Plans and prepare write-ups for Staff facilitation while travelling for duty or training.

Review Policies and Procedures and participate in the recruitment process and staffing.

Monitor the performance of staff.

Attend to staff workplace requirements & welfare within the approved frameworks.

Supervise Administrative staff as may be assigned.

Supervise and periodically report on outsourced services.

Update the Human Resource Information in the HRIS and generate reports as may be required.

Ensure Staff files are kept up-to-date.

Any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your supervisor or Management.

Requirements

Honors Degree in Public Administration and Management, Human

Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Management, Social Work and Social Administration or any other related discipline.

Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is a must.

Must have at least five (5) years of relevant working experience in a reputable organization.

Should be aged between 28-40 years.
