Qualifications and Working ExperienceA Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Education
A Post Graduate Diploma in Management or Technical related field is a must.
Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports
At least six (6) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Officer in the field of Technical Education.
Duties and Responsibilities
Initiate policies, programs, projects and proposals for development of Technical Education;
Co-ordinate, oversee and advise on staff development and curriculum of Technical Institutions to ensure high performance standards and responsiveness to industrial market demands;
Facilitate the provisions and distribution of financial resources, basic tools,
and materials to Technical Institutions;
Coordinate, training and development of staff to maintain the Technical Institutions and to advise on their appropriate deployment;
Establish and maintain linkages with private sector and other stakeholders on the provision of requisite skills and development of Technical Education;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons from within the Education Service to fill posts that have fallen vacant in the Ministry of Education and Sports Headquarters.

2019.
The ESC Form 3 (1998) is obtainable from the Education Service Commission Offices 1st floor Farmers’ House, Parliament Avenue Kampala or Ministry of Education and Sports Headquarters or District Service Commission offices &
the Commission Website: www.esc.go.ug.
Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should attach photocopies of Academic Certificates and Transcripts plus three recent passports size photograph Serving Officers should attach appointment and confirmation letters and recent pay slips.
Qualifications from only recognized institutions will be considered.
Serving officers Must route their applications through their Heads of Institutions/Departments, who should be advised of the closing date to avoid
delays.
Applications that are not properly routed will not be considered.
