The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a cross-platform content strategy and content marketing which includes planning, producing, and analyzing the written content we create while iteratively advancing the organization’s editorial vision and mission.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives in the most efficient manner.
Generate share-able content (new and from the library)
Prepare media and copy for different channels for each event to be posted and shared
Turn media in the library into shareable format
Content generation and editorial checks for the parent organization
Create from scratch draft texts for online reactive content (Q&As, blogs, interviews, opinion pieces, etc.) in line with international audience needs
Proofreading work: various international texts and publications.
Editorial work on selected light-for-the-world.org website pages.
Adapting content to web data insights and SEO best practice.
Gathering team requirements regarding content & features needed on projects.
Identifying & organizing key content within the production. Ensure this content is formalized, structured, shared & accurate.
Define information architectures, taxonomies and metadata strategies (frameworks for grouping and tagging content);
Defining the governance (access rights, workflows, archiving policy, etc.) and ensure it is respected and it is applied by all teams on the project.
Providing content templates in order to accompany users in their content creation process.
Enriching content with metadata & tags to improve content findability on the production.
Defining workflows to ensure content is always enriched by the right experts at the right time.
Archiving & cleaning content on an ongoing-basis in order to keep the workspace used & useful.
Relying on user feedback, statistics and benchmark in order to improve
the workspace and the way content is organized.
Supporting teams on a daily basis to manage more efficiently their content to improve collaboration & communication.
Training staff on how to create, manage & access content.
Reading policy documents proposed by National or county Governments and advising program teams on areas of contribution or points worth summarising and sharing to our target audience.
Profile of the Successful Candidate
You have held editorial posts in the past.
Experience working on policy documents is highly desirable.
You have outstanding written and oral communication skills (English).
You have the ability to produce original engaging content and to proofread, edit and improve colleagues’ draft content to a high standard.
You have several years of communications or writing work experience in a global professional setting.
You have experience in publishing and/or search engine optimisation (SEO) and/or search engine marketing (SEM, website publishing platforms (CRMs like drupal, word press), and/or digital audience analysis (like google analytics).
