  • We are looking for a motivated and qualified professional to fill the position of Sales Executive.

    Overall Purpose of the Job:

  • This role is responsible for the driving implementation of the sales strategy for corporate business to ensure achievement of the department’s financial objectives and obligations to the company.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities from brokers & banks, negotiate and close deals within the prescribed underwriting guidelines

  • Drive sustainable growth of the assigned portfolio in order to achieve the set business mix

  • Drive achievement of annual, quarterly and monthly production targets.

  • Build robust relationships with assigned intermediaries

  • Ensure attainment of set renewal retention targets at 95% and continuously seek for organic growth.

  • Effectively create departmental relationships from underwriting, claims, finance, ICT to ensure high standards of customer service.

  • Conduct continuous training to intermediaries to ensure they fully understand our products and internal processes,

  • Maintain accurate records and reports to supervisor to facilitate feedback on intervention and guide decision making.

  • Ensure customer enquiries are resolved promptly as per laid down policies and procedures.

  • Collection of premium on all corporate business transacted as per laid down procedures..

  • Participate in Insurance Sales activation programs organized by the organization in conjunction with the Sales Manager.

  • Ensure compliance to the organization’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Obtain market intelligence on products and key corporate accounts under threat or those.

  • Act as the primary and principle liaison between the banks/brokers and the company in all aspects of their business with the company.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Person Specifications

    Academic Qualifications

  • University degree from an institution recognized by Commission for Higher Education (Insurance/Business or Marketing will be an added advantage).

  • Minimum Overall Grade of C+ in

    Professional Qualifications

  • AIIK Diploma/CII Diploma or any insurance related qualification or progress towards completion (at least 3-5 papers)


  • At least 3 years’ experience in the Sales of non-PSV insurance products preferably within an Insurance Company OR Intermediary.

  • Demonstrable consistent track record in achieving sales targets

  • Has excellent Insurance Market intelligence (local, regional and international)

  • Business/Department strategy formulation and execution

  • Knowledge of insurance regulations

  • Knowledge of underwriting processes, procedures and concepts including claims

  • Understanding of insurance operations and concepts

    Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent Sales skills

  • High integrity and ethical level; Able to maintain utmost confidentiality of information in their possession

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated, confident and outgoing personality

  • Ability to network and generate new business and client relationship skills

  • Sound knowledge of both Insurance and Banking Industry and products

  • Have great attention to detail and able to get things done to completion
