Development Expertise Lab Field Coordinator – Phone Surveys Jobs in Nigeria;Development Expertise Lab (DEL) is implementing a large‑scale phone survey with Cameroonian refugees living in Nigeria. All interviews will be conducted remotely by phone and WhatsApp using computer‑assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) with SurveyCTO. The Field Coordinator will supervise a small team of enumerators and ensure smooth survey implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Support DEL project team in obtaining local authorisations for data collection.

Assist in recruitment and selection of enumerators for approval by the research team.

Contribute to survey implementation plan, survey manual, and training programme.

Co‑facilitate three‑day enumerator training and one‑day pilot.

Supervise daily work of enumerators, monitor productivity, and manage call scheduling.

Implement routine data quality assurance and follow up on high‑frequency check flags.

Ensure accurate recording of call attempts and reconcile data discrepancies.

Ensure adherence to survey procedures, ethical standards, informed consent, and data protection.

Participate in daily check‑ins during the first week of data collection and regular check‑ins thereafter.

Qualifications

Native or fluent English speaker (required); fluency in Cameroonian Pidgin English an asset.

Experience supervising enumerator teams on socio‑economic surveys, including CATI.

Experience with computer‑assisted interviewing software; SurveyCTO strongly preferred.

Knowledge of cultural context and sensitivities of respondent population.

University degree.

Strong communication skills and ability to liaise between enumerators, project management, and research teams.
