    Job Description
    About the AMC

    Our practice has both breadth and technical depth, which is increasingly important in an ever-changing regulatory landscape. You can expect to be involved in a number of key services, ranging from stochastic and deterministic asset and liability modelling covering Solvency II, IFRS17, model rationalisation and finance transformations.

    We work with a variety of software including FIS Prophet, Towers Watson MoSes /RiskAgility and Algorithmics AFM.

    As part of the AMC Team, you will:

  • Actively contribute to a wide range of actuarial modelling projects;
  • Build models in a wide range of computer languages;
  • Have client contact;
  • Contribute to practice management and developing the AMC.

    About the Life Team

    The UK Life Insurance market is well established, diverse and home to large global insurers. We have supported the UK Life Assurance practice
    in a wide variety of projects including major transactions in the UK life insurance market – supporting both sell-side and buy-side activities.

    We have worked with a number of major UK insurers on Solvency II and large-scale transformation projects. We provide specialist audit support for a range of insurers and global reinsurers.

    As part of the Life Team, you will:

  • Be involved in a wide variety of projects, and have the opportunity to work in diverse global teams;
  • Gain exposure to a variety of UK and international clients;
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical and regulatory issues, including Solvency II and IFRS17;
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Our Extended Delivery Team (EDT) provides consulting support to the Deloitte UK Actuarial Insurance and Banking practice. We are looking for two actuarial graduates to join the team. One individual will join our EDT Life team and the other our EDT Life Actuarial Modelling Centre (AMC).

    We are looking for the best people to do the most challenging work

    To qualify for the role you must have:

  • A solid academic track record, ideally a degree in actuarial science with progress in actuarial exams;
  • An ability to work well in a team;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • For our AMC role, you will need a background in computer programming, or an interest in pursuing a career in actuarial modelling.
