Job Summary

Responsible for planning and delivering of Social Studies lessons.

Periodical assessment and reporting of learners’ performance.

Ensuring excellent performance of pupils in Social studies and Civic Education

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver quality Social Studies lessons

Assess, record and report pupils’ progress
Prepare pupils for internal and external examinations.

Maintain tidy and orderly classroom
Attends staff meetings and serve on committees as required

Any other duties as may be assigned

Educational and work experience:

B.Sc / B.Ed. in Social Studies or any other relevant fields

Minimum of 3 years cognate experience in teaching

Skills and competence:

Excellent spoken and writing English language

Good communication skills

Patience and understanding

Enthusiasm and friendliness

Time management
