  • An Accountant is wanted on a temporal basis for a leading financial services firm

    Job Description

  • Contribute to the development of budgets to optimise profitability, in alignment with operational plans

  • Identify opportunities/solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency

  • Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum

  • Processing of service provider and claims payments

  • Processing of monthly tax payments

  • Petty cash management

  • Bank Reconciliations.

  • Reconciliation of payables and Receivables General Ledger Accounts

  • Payments of all taxes, statutory and regulator payments and relevant returns

  • Preparation of weekly cash flow position

  • Assist with audit queries

  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders

  • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives

  • Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas

    Candidate Specification

    Experience

  • 3 years

    Education Level

  • Degree

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Finance,Full ACCA or CA

  • Software

    Job related

  • Equipment

  • Industry related

    Knowledge Of

  • How the business operates, what the key issues and risks are that drives business success with the ability to recognise potential risks to the company that should be escalated.

    Skills To

  • Excellent self-planning and organising skills

    Ability To

  • Ability to manage & prioritise an extensive work load
