For over 20 years, the Peace and Security Cluster (PSC) has delivered portfolio, programme, and project management services to its largest partner. PSC provides oversight, risk management, and operational flexibility, ensuring compliance with UN rules and donor requirements. It also leads cross‑cutting initiatives in knowledge management, gender equality, diversity, inclusion, and quality assurance.
Partner Background
Established in 1997, the UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) works to eliminate landmines, explosive remnants of war (ERW), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). UNMAS coordinates mine action across the UN system, develops global standards, and supports peacekeeping and political missions. It chairs the Inter‑Agency Coordination Group on Mine Action and leads the Mine Action Area of Responsibility under the Global Protection Cluster.
Sudan Programme Context
