County Government of Meru Legal Clerk Jobs in Kenya The County Government of Meru wishes to recruit competent, self-driven, experienced and qualified staff to fill the following positions in various departments on a five (5) year contract pursuant to article 176 of the constitution of Kenya and county governments Act No.17 of 2012.
Duties and Responsibilities
This officer shall be involved in drafting and filing legal documents in registries;
Coordinate filing and service of legal
documents in Courts of Law;
Undertake routine errands to public
registries, courts and other relevant offices;
Undertake any other duty as may be
assigned from time to time.
The Clerical Function entails carrying out
clerical tasks which vary according to the size
and nature of the office in which work is
The tasks include compilation of statistical
records based on routine or special sources of
Carrying out specialized tasks related to
their area of deployment;
Sorting out and dispatching letters;
maintaining an efficient filing system;
Keeping invoices, receipts and other records
systematically in files;
Drafting simple letters and performing other
related clerical duties.
For appointment to this grade, an officer
Be a Kenyan citizen;
Have a diploma in law or business management from a recognized institution;
