    Job Summary:

  • The Systems and Network Administrator will report to the IT Manager and is responsible for the configuring, maintaining, and supporting all new and existing hardware, software and network systems.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet and intranet systems

  • Maintain system efficiency and configuration of network IP addresses – design a system that allows all components to work properly together.

  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users in relation to computer hardware, software, cabling, telephone equipment and printers’ network.

  • Offer technical support to staff on computer programs, packages, and applications.

  • Recommend to line manager ideas for upgrades, hardware and software deployment, disposal, for optimization of resources and to reduce systems costs.

  • Participate in server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.

  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with all technical considerations; assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.

  • Carry out provision/de-provision of employees to systems and hardware requirements as per instruction and approval from line manager and respective HoDs – to biometric access systems, issue of work mobile phones, desktops, laptops, etc.

  • Participate in the planning for the expansion of network and communication equipment and new network cabling structures.

  • Ensure that all company
    desktops, laptops, and servers have up to date software and anti-virus protection.

  • Responsible for day-to-day inventory keeping of IT assets (e.g., printers, laptops, desktops, tablets, phones etc.) and for triggering purchase requisitions.

  • IP PABX administration, creation of extension and ensuring efficient telephony services.

  • Update company websites, social media accounts and applications as and when required.

  • To adhere and comply to; all cGMP and GDocP records/data standards, ALCOA principles, and the company code of conduct for data integrity.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.


  • Minimum diploma in Computer Science, or Information Technology or related field;

  • Three (3) years’ working experience as a systems administrator.

  • Display a mastery in troubleshooting and deductive reasoning.

  • Ability to achieve general IT tools maintenance.

  • Ability to carry out general maintenance required for operation of systems and networks.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Self-motivated and can work with no supervision.

  • Computer Literacy i.e., Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc.
