Co-operative Bank of Kenya UI / UX Designer Jobs



Role Overview

  • Lead projects involving complex user experience decisions and translate business requirements into user flows and wireframes.

  • Facilitate design thinking sessions to identify business and technical requirements.

  • Develop user experience, interaction design, and information architecture for technology and business initiatives.

  • Gather and analyze design requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and usability tests.

  • Create site maps, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications.

  • Evaluate usability test results and prioritize design tradeoffs.

  • Define process improvements and uphold UX standards.

  • Collaborate with creative, visual, and technical leads to ensure feasible design solutions.

  • Research competitive and complementary design strategies to deliver best‑approach solutions.

  • Define and prioritize design schedules, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Advocate for cohesive UI guidelines and standards.

  • Act as subject matter expert by staying updated on UX technologies and industry standards.

    Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business related field; Graphic/Visual Design or Digital Media Design qualifications are an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in UX design, web design, front‑end development, product design, or related roles.

  • Proficiency with UX tools such as Figma (essential), FigJam, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, and Miro.

  • Creative problem‑solver with experience leading projects and building consensus across teams.

  • Ability to scope and estimate efforts accurately, prioritize tasks independently, and deliver in fast‑paced iterative environments.
