Competition for Youth-Led Projects for Youth-Led  Students/Young Professionals Projects



Program Overview

  • Empowers young people to design and lead practical solutions for disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and response.

  • Strengthens community resilience through projects rooted in local needs.

  • Encourages youth engagement and demonstrates the impact youth can make in building flood and drought resilience.

  • Supports Early Warnings for All (EW4All) and local climate action.

    Prizes

  • Two winning projects will each receive 3,000 CHF.

  • Awarded project leaders will implement initiatives over 9 months with expert guidance on floods and drought.

    Eligibility Criteria

  • Youth‑led projects (students/young professionals aged 18 – 35).

  • Active participation of youth under 35 in project activities.

  • Practical, results‑oriented projects with clear objectives, timeline, and scope.

  • Concrete contribution to enhancing resilience to floods and drought with tangible outputs.

  • Implementation within a maximum of 9 months.

  • Scalable and sustainable in time.
