This role supports CHAI’s South African programmes in developing investment cases for new initiatives, in close collaboration with other related teams, procurers, donor groups, and government officials to determine if deal produces sufficient health benefits and value-for-money.

S/he, along with the relevant Programme Manager, will represent CHAI with government and non-government partners.

The successful candidate will have strong relationship management skills, as s/he will interface with varied stakeholders in the complex global health industry.

a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and review registration certificates for compliance and completeness
    Interact with applicant companies to validate data, request further information and / or make corrections where required
  • Perform administrative functions necessary for the processing of registration amendments
  • Conduct data entry exercises, as required
  • Provide overall support for management and program administration to the SAHPRA Team
  • Keep accurate, timely, complete records
  • Perform other functions necessary to support medicines registration and variations processes

    Qualifications
  • B. Pharm or equivalent university degree;
  • Minimum of two years’ professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility and experience;
  • Previous work experience in South Africa/Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in the health sector;
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced technical proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environment and multitask;
  • English language fluency, both written and verbal;

    Advantages:
  • Management consulting or other relevant private and public sector experience;
  • Knowledge of health systems strengthening, and/or global healthcare systems;
  • Experience in project management, procurement, and/or public health.
