Job Description

  • Our client, ranks as one of the most prominent conglomerates in the UAE with interests in trading, manufacturing, contracting and retail in the Electrical Products. They have ventured in Nairobi, Kenya and their products are already a household name for commercial and industrial clients. They are looking to fill the role of a Sales Manager with similar experience in a busy electrical company. The jobholder will drive business in the company to realize profits.


  • Sales and marketing strategies.

  • Constant feedback to the management from the market and decide on future strategies.

  • To increase the profitability of the company, by aiming to expand the market.

  • Explore the market to look for opportunities.

  • Ensure revenue generation with fewer risks.

  • Forecast the market and communicate effectively.

  • Manage the sales and marketing department budget.

  • Analyze sales reports for Management review.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the Company’s vision.

  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability.

  • Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans.

  • Source for business in commercial, industrial and government projects.

  • Write proposals to present to key decision makers in the prospective clients.

  • Attend business meetings with clients.

  • Develop, review, and report on the business development plans.

  • Market forecasting and analyzation of net profit targets each month on new sales accounts in
    line with annual targets.

  • Spotting new business opportunities from projects, multinationals, manufacturers and retail segments of the market.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Marketing or related fields, Masters will be an added advantage.

  • At least 10 years’ experience in sales & Marketing with at least five years in Electrical industry in Kenya.

  • Indian candidates are preferred for diversity balance in the company.

  • Strong personality with presentation skills, excellent managerial skills (planning & budgeting, organizing, controlling, etc.)

  • Decision making & problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to build strong and long-lasting profitable relationships.

  • Ability to manage a team.

  • Must be aggressive, persistent, proactive and have a strong business acumen.

  • Strong decision making skills, loyalty to brand & Collaborative skills.
