Job Description

Job Summary/Purpose:

Betopia Properties wants to hire an experienced Finishing Foreman on full time basis. The Finishing Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day running of the project, reporting to the Project Manager.

He/ She manages sub-contractors and on-site personnel driving the project through to successful completion on time, within budget and adhering to the highest standards as required by the Employer.

He / She will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to manage the finishing phase of the project work to the highest standard.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Liaising with: -Sub-contractors: to ensure program are maintained and services are coordinated effectively; Quantity Surveyor: on cost issues; Purchasing personnel: procurement of bulk items purchased by the Client.

Implementation of daily and weekly programs together with the issue of program detail to sub-contractors

Maintaining the site diary – keeping detailed notes of all site activities

Dealing with all health and safety issues on site

Monitors quality of the finishing materials and the finishing work of subcontractors.

Collects weekly inspection sheets from the sub-contractors

Works closely with the Engineering and Architectural Design Team and suggests the review of all drawings and details on an ongoing basis

Manages material requirements in

good time to suit the program

Responsible for carrying out spot dimensional checking of works, bringing any discrepancies to the Project Manager (client side) or to the Site Manager.

Capable of stopping works that are not being carried out safely or works that deviate from the set standards

Inspects sub-contractors works and signs it off when it is to an acceptable standard

Attending weekly management team meetings
prepares and submits progress reports on a regular basis.

Perform other duties assigned by project manager

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Diploma or equivalent educational level in construction.

Preferably 8 years as General Foreman / Finishing Foreman experience

Ability to work to tight deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills

Basic use of emails, computer use desirable
