  • With over 3000 branches in Asia and Africa combined, ASA International has taken a keen interest in opening several more branches in Zambia hence the need for an HR Manager to oversee all HR-related tasks of the company in Zambia .

    Job Description/Responsibilities

    • Develop HR strategies in line with the overall business strategy

    • Direct, lead, motivate, manage and develop HR support Service functions

    • Manage people process (talent acquisition, L&D, employee relation, performance management, and change management) to ensure it fits in with the current and future requirements for the business

    • Craft talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs

    • Revisit existing HR policies and procedure and revise if it demands

    • Provide advice on the HR matters, including legal matters in connection with employment/labour law

    • Maintain and update staff contracts in coordination with other management staff

    • Attend and resolve human-resource-related issues in consultation with other management staff

    • Nurture a positive working environment

    • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

    • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital

    • Develop
    and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

    Qualifications/Experience/ Salary and allowances

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management

    • Should have at least a minimum of 5 years’ prior experience in a similar position

    • Demonstrated 5 years of administrative, procurement, and HR experience

    • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labour laws

    • Ability to work with others in a team environment

    • Ability to work with minimum supervision

    • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

    • Proficiency in computer packages (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal English)

    • A member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management

    Position Location

    • HR manager will be based in Lusaka and in case if needed arises HR manager will be required to visit the project area 10 to 12 days

    • 25% monthly gratuity increment as per company policy

    • Other benefits will be as per company policy

    • 2 years contract reneweable as per performance
