ResponsibilitiesSafe storage of goods (location)
Ensure that all company procedures for verification of incoming/outgoing shipments are adhered to
Ensure that all company procedures for handling and disposition of products are adhered to
Monitor & assist with the RMA’s (stock returns)
Receiving and dispatching of stocks according to the company’s policies and procedures
Responsible for daily cycle counts or as required by management
Record all discrepancies on pick lists and inform person responsible of damage or short shipments
Pre Stock take preparation of warehouse
Ensure that all forklift equipment is checked on a daily basis and that all problems are reported to the immediate supervisor
Ensure compliance to the safety standards as laid down by Altron
Ensure that stocks are binned in accordance to the OHSA requirements
Ensure that all Fire and Medical equipment are clear of any obstructions
Picking and binning of any item within the warehouse
Ensure that quantities picked or binned are accurate as per relevant documentation
Ensure quality of packing relating to items, and to report damaged goods to immediate supervisor
Ensure that goods picked for final dispatch to customers match the printed delivery note
Ensure that the checking procedures are adhered to.
Ensure that all goods supplied are accounted for and handed to the responsible person - must have a Delivery note.
Participate in ad hoc assignments
Operate a Forklift
Perform other duties that are required within the scope of the job
Provide administrative duties as identified by manager
Exhibit a proactive approach to attending to customer problems/needs to avoid customer dissatisfaction at all costs.
Display a total commitment to putting the customer first
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent
3-5 years Warehouse / Stores experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word) a must
Computer Literacy/Knowledge of the Astea system would be beneficial
Must be able to understand and converse well in English
Must be in possession of a valid Forklift licence
Clear Credit & criminal check (inherent job requirement)
