Job Purpose

  • Lead and execute the Airtel Money Face to Face Merchant Payment Ecosystem and B2B .

    Duties:

    Eco system & Revenue Design

    • Drive revenue growth through new marketing imperatives

    • Drive Airtel money digital transformation

    • Create a data model that will be able to provide insight to the Organisation

    • Online Merchants

    • Identifying key players to work with in new projects

    Formal & Informal Merchant Recruitment

    • Recruitment of merchants e.g. Restaurants, bars, hotels, petrol stations, super markets and national chains

    • Resolve merchants’ complaints and queries

    • Train merchants how to operate POS machines

    • Drive informal recruitment through outsourcing

    • Ensure that support is given at all times to our outsourced partners

    Online Merchants & Alternative merchant channel (including Interoperability)

    • Design online merchant platform that allows customers to access various products and services.

    • Design am interoperability Merchant system

    • Drive acquisition of alternative Merchant channels

    Master-pass implementation:

    • Drive the use of cashless payment methods for various goods and services
    APP and USSD Experience for Merchants, Merchant
    Portal and Master/Child Design

    • Drive APP and USSD experience for merchants,

    • Provide first line aftersales queries support before escalation to back office operations team
    Merchant Revenues-Wallet2Bank, Buy Airtime, Pay bills, Pay Salaries

    • Create strategic partnerships with banks that allow the transfer of e-value from wallet to bank

    • Increase revenue through the buying of talk time,
    P2P transfers and paying of salaries through various merchant points

    B2B Wallet

    • Market B2B Wallet to identified market segment

    • Provide training on B2B wallet usage

    • Engage client segments for maximum revenue generation

    • Identify business prospects within B2B space

    Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills

    • A Sales or Marketing Degree or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business related field and/or sales, Marketing or Customer Experience

    Relevant Experience

    • 3- 5years work experience and exposure working in a telecom, FMCG or Financial institution

    • Trade sales and Marketing exposure

    • Able to handle, prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously

    • IT literacy & Excellent with MS Office products

    • Able to operate in a performance driven organisation

    Other Requirements

    • Business awareness, strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, excellent negotiating skills, high personal standards and goal oriented, excellent interpersonal skills

    • Knowledge on Airtel products and services

    • Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing

    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management

    • Drive customer and partner engagement
