  • AMI is looking to hire a Digital Marketing Campaign & Technology Specialist who will focus on developing and managing digital marketing campaigns to support customer growth. This is a chance for an outstanding marketing professional with a passion to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) grow and scale, to be part of Africa’s transformation.

  • The Digital Marketing Campaign & Technology Specialist must have a strong technical capacity for digital systems and possess an analytical orientation. Like all AMI staff, this person should be passionate about skills and enterprise development as a way to transform Africa.

  • The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Manager, Creative & Digital, as part of the Marketing & Communications team to build the company’s brand and drive qualified traffic and engagement into our programmes and reach SMEs across Africa.This is a great opportunity for a digital marketing star with a passion for ensuring SMEs, learning, and development play a central part in Africa’s transformation.

  • The role location is remote however a candidate from Kenya or South Africa would be preferred.

  • The Digital Marketing Campaign & Technology Specialist lead will be part of the creative and digital team, drive the company’s digital marketing campaigns and maintain the company’s digital marketing technology and platforms.


  • Manage the development, implementation, budgeting, monitoring, tracking and optimizing of digital ad campaigns on platforms such as Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Manage analytics and performance dashboards and use appropriate analytical tools to optimize the online experiences;

  • Drive innovation through developing unique marketing technology solutions to reach and deliver content to community members and customers,

  • Build and maintain landing pages, building content and structure that drives conversions and leads;

  • Perform SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to increase organic search visibility and ranking;

  • Build automations and integrations with digital marketing software and products

  • Support content distribution through various platforms such as podcasts, RSS feeds, SMS technologies and mobile applications etc.

  • Serve as a key architect of CRM integrations and customer relationship management systems

  • Support email marketing efforts across the company utilizing the company email marketing tool

  • Manage and
    publish AMI website and website content;

  • Report & analyse on key performance indicators

    Skills & attributes

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

  • Strong analytical skills and shown success in handling metrics and data and working in a quantified commercial environment

  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

  • Good understanding of current social media channels and online advertising options

  • Solid understanding of Search Engine Advertising/Search Engine Marketing including campaign creation and optimization

  • Essential skills include AdWords, Analytics, Google Search Console and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with the following will be desirable: optimizing landing pages and user funnels, website management (WordPress), working with APIs and automation tools (Zappier) CRM Systems, SEO Optimization tools, Email marketing campaign tools, marketing automation tools, analytics & intelligence platforms

  • Basic to intermediate graphic design or media production skills a plusStrong knowledge of digital marketing principles and best practices;

  • Passionate about business learning and capacity building for SMEs and African leaders

    Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, BSc or any other field related to Digital Marketing

    Degree qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
