Objective And Scope

  • The objectives of the consultancy are to: a) Conduct an assessment and to provide an overview and
    analysis of the capacity strengths, weaknesses, gaps, opportunities and demands in the organisation.

  • The Assessment should in particular, as far as is practical and realistic, identify and analyse the main human capacity weaknesses individual, organisational and societal) and should highlight any deficiencies in the organization, b) The expected results should be well defined to analyse the dynamics that explain present capacity, identify driving forces for change to ensure effectiveness of the capacity development that will enhance the ability of the organisation to meet its commitments according to the strategic plan

    Key Deliverables

  • An inception report including a work plan, detailed methodology, report format and timeline, to be submitted within 7 days from the commencement of the assignment. A draft capacity needs assessment consolidated report including a capacity development strategy addressing at least the following key issues,

  • Capacity challenges ai..yanizational and individual levels

  • Current capacity development opportunities in the organization;

  • Specific capacity needs and priorities at the organizational and individual levels

  • Recommendations for the most suitable, effective, efficient and affordable modes of capacity development to meet the identified needs. - Schedule and time table for the capacity building workshop. - Presentations and participation at the workshop as agreed with the AFFCAD office Final capacity needs assessment and capacity development strategy Policy recommendations or amendments of the existing, shall be designed by the consultant as agreed by

    Time Schedule

  • The Assignment shall be expected to be completed within a maximum of 30 work days.

    Skills And Experience Required Of Consultant

    • Profound knowledge in Organizational Capacity Development and in the above capacity areas

    • A minimum of Masters' degree and 5 years relevant work experience in providing Organizational Capacity Development services to organizations.

    • Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills Strong facilitation, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work well with diverse people.

    • An application letter addressing the qualification requirements including how the candidate's previous experience matches the consultancy objective.

    • An updated CV or organizational profile including samples of past work, and copies of credentials, and names and addresses of three references
