The organisation seeks to recruit an excellent, safe and timely Driver in Uganda. Applications are therefore invited from competent and qualified Ugandans as indicated below:

Employer: Adara Development (Uganda)

Location: kiwoko, Nakaseke District. Uganda

Employment status: An ongoing contract (full time)

Reports to: Uganda Country Director.

About the Role:

To provide reliable and courteous driving services to Adara staff, volunteers and visitors with safety a top priority; to operate and maintain appropriate vehicle; and maintain vehicle records. The Adara driver will need to live in or near Kiwoko, Nakaseke District.

About You:

Completion of O-Level certificate or its equivalent

Possession of a valid driver’s licence

At least three years of experience as a driver in a reputable organisation

History of a safe driving record

Experience driving a 4x4 vehicle in rough terrain

Excellent driving skills, including defensive driving

Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations, local roads and conditions

Skills in minor vehicle repairs

Fluent in English (required)

Knowledge of local languages spoken in Uganda (preferred)

Punctual and professional

lntegrous and accountable

Respect for diversity

Awareness and sensitivity regarding gender issues
