    Job Summary

  • In this role you will deliver and administer all procedures pertaining to Structured Trade and Commodity Finance and related Products and services within required SLAs. This includes air releases, discounting, confirmations, import and export Letters of Credit (LC) and Documentary collections.

  • The role also includes supervising the processing and administration of Structured Trade and Commodity Finance and related products and services to both internal and external customers, by ensuring adherence to all laid regulations, policies & procedures prior to finalising transactions

    Description:

  • Prepare and verify all information to ensure that the required standards of air releases, import and export Letters of Credit, Documentary collections and related transactions are adhered to prior to submission for processing.

  • Ensure technical correctness of each client instruction including:

  • Confirmation of completeness of client’s instruction

  • Validating or obtaining an exchange rate where necessary

  • Check that exchange control is authorised. If an Exchange Control Application (ECA) has been submitted, ensure that a copy of the relevant application and approvals are obtained, adhered to and filed with the transaction.

  • Obtain and capture the correct Balance of Payments (BOP) category.

  • Check that signatories have been validated

  • Check indemnities where applicable

  • Supervise the processing and administration Structured Trade Finance and services (guarantees, air releases, Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections).

  • Perform second check on trade documentation (including documents
    of title) against relevant SWIFT to ensure compliance in terms of relevant ICC ruling.

  • Track the systematic allocation of work to team members and make adjustments to the workload when there are capability gaps or absence issues to ensure smooth and timely workflow.

  • Verify information to ensure that the required standards are adhered to prior to releasing transactions.

  • Ensure all team transactions are finalised and released by timely tracking and actioning of transactions on system queues.

  • Verify and authorise all transactions processed by officials to ensure that the required standards of guarantees, air releases, import and export Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections and related transactions are adhered to.

    Send in your CV if you have:

  • NQF Level 5 qualification in Banking OR a Diploma in Treasury Management and International Banking

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in foreign exchange

  • Minimum 1 year exposure to reconciliations function

  • 3 years’ experience in Trade finance /documentary trade (including import and export letters of credit, documentary collections and related products),

  • 3 years’ experience in banking products 1 year supervisory experience.
