Job Title

Sales Manager

Main Purpose of the Job

To meet /exceed sales objectives of assigned Agencies by promoting and ensuring insurance sales through professional selling techniques and long term customer relations.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet /exceed, Ordinary life premium, Individual P.A, IQA persistency and Manpower targets in assigned agencies
  • Make at least five quality agency visits each week
  • Ensure agents make the required number of calls on prospects, identify growth areas and open new markets
  • Advice agents on market conditions
  • Assist agents prepare quality sales presentations
  • Conduct sales training within agencies
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings in the agencies and performance review meetings
  • Continually foster product knowledge and improved selling techniques to agency / unit managers and agents
  • Actively support the field force in marketing group products
  • Regular review of weekly business targets with the Head of Sales and Marketing
  • handle/resolve agent complaints or concerns


    Qualifications and experience

  • University Degree in business related studies
  • Diploma in sales/marketing
  • FLMI or ACII or its equivalent
  • Computer Literate
  • Minimum 5 years experience gained in at senior level in a high performing commercial enterprise
