Program Assistant

Pact Tanzania is seeking a Program Assistant to work with a team on the implementation of Pact's two programs to support Orphans and Vulnerable Children.

These programs are supported by the USAID and the Global Fund. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, individual who is anxious to learn and to serve as a member of our program team.

Description of duties and responsibilities for Program Assistant:

  • Work with program staff in the implementation of program and capacity building activities
  • Maintain files and prepare and edit reports

  • Prepare stories for publication and the website

  • Arrange logistics for travel and training and provide on-site support at workshops

  • Conduct research for the purposes of proposal preparation and new business development

  • Gather and analyze data for Project Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Compile regular status, progress and final reports regarding Pact's training and support to NGOs

    Qualifications and Competencies for the Program Assistant position:

  • Diploma in Business, Development or related topic

  • Minimum of 3 years working in an office

  • Strong writing/editing skills in English and Kiswahili

  • Energetic, Creative and eager to learn

  • Strong computer (word processing) literacy, skills in graphic/web design a plus.

  • Strong Language capability in both Kiswahili and English.
