The Livestock and Pastoral Recovery Manager is responsible in managing the implementation of all livestock component/project of the livelihoods Support and Protection Programme in Somali region supported by national and regional operational management and support staffs.
Leadership and management of human
Financial and material resources
Monitoring and reporting and external representation.
S/he is responsible to ensure coherence with Save the Children’s national programme approach for Ethiopia, linking to the organization’s global strategy and contributing to advocacy priorities.
S/he is also responsible to liaise with key departments in headquarters on technical issues to ensure adherence to Save the Children UK best practice approaches and standards,
Promote quality programming and adherence to minimum standards, including the SCUK and NGO Code of Conduct, SCUK core values, SPHERE standards, incorporation of cross-cutting issues and approaches such as child rights, gender, disaster risk reduction, protection, etc;
Accountable to ensure the livestock related activities of the Livelihoods Support and Protection Programme are developed, implemented and completed on time and within approved budgets.
All strategic coordinators, including the Livestock and Pastoral Recovery Manager and technical advisors are housed within the Policy, Planning and Programme Development department.
