Global Rights is seeking candidates who are experienced human rights professionals with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in human rights, particularly in the field, who takes a strategic planning approach to reaching program goals and objectives and possesses superior coordination, interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
This position requires the ability to coordinate project implementation in a politically and culturally sensitive environment, frequent travel within the DRC, and strong capacity- building skills.
Prior work experience in the Great Lakes region or similar post-conflict environments in developing countries, are required.
Candidates should have substantial experience in working with civil society organizations and community-level structures, preferably within an NGO.
This is an unaccompanied position.
Candidates should be willing to relocate promptly to Bukavu and to commit to a 1-year contract.
The candidate will be accommodated in an independent apartment located within Global Rights' guest house.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
