As a member of the organization's Clinical Affairs team and working closely with the Medical Director, the Africa Regional Clinical Advisor plays a technical leadership role in identifying trends, contributing to development of global clinical recommendations and country/regional service delivery strategies informed by needs and issues in the Africa region.
The position facilitates technical dialogue, networking and exchange of best practices among the organization's Training and Service Delivery Improvement staff, trainers, and providers in the region.
The Regional Clinical Advisor provides clinical and technical guidance to the Africa country team staff and clinical consultants to ensure organization's regulatory requirements and clinical recommendation are implemented in programs.
The Advisor builds capacity to carry out performance quality improvement efforts at the provider, facility and health system level and ensures that the quality of clinical training meets agency standards.
The position provides assistance in the review and sign off of documents for the Africa region containing clinical information as designated by the Medical Director.
The Advisor is expected to represent the organization at key regional and country meetings.
