August 15 2007, ISSUE #47.

Dear,

If you are frustrated with the way society works, you must have asked yourself - What can I do? Advance-Africa.Com is a response to that question. Together, let us explore ways to enact social change and improve the welfare of many in Africa. We each can do and should do something to make our continent and our world a better place. I would appreciate to receive your comments.

In the last few months, we have been locating children’s homes, schools and hospitals in disadvantaged areas and sending international volunteers to them. The volunteers assist in all kinds of jobs. Volunteers working in children’s homes and schools are often able to donate items such clothes, shoes, children’s books, writing materials (pencils, crayons), toys, teddy bears, plasticine etc.

Unfortunately, we now have more applications for international volunteer positions than are available places. We are therefore looking for more projects that need assistance throughout Africa (Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria etc). If you are involved in a children’s home, a school or a hospital/clinic that needs volunteers, please email the details and help could be on the way soon!
