UK Scholarship Info

by Kpai, Michael
(Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria)

I am Michael Aduanen. I graduated with a second class honours degree(2.2) in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering in Nigeria.

I was offered a place to study MSc Petroleum Technology in the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough, Tess Vally, United Kingdom in July 2007 but was not able to commence studies due to lack of government sponsorship here in Nigeria. I applied again to the same school and was offered a fresh admission for September 2008.

I've searched the Advance Africa website well-over 10 times and have exhausted the list of available scholarships with no luck.

I'll really appreciate if you could give me some more information how to get scholarships to study in the UK.

The British embassy, oil companies and some other firms I saw on your website have scholarship programs but insist that I must have a 1st class or at least a 2nd class upper.

I really need your advice because I do not want to miss this opportunity come this September.

Your prompt response would be appreciated please.

Thank you

Yours sincerely

Michael

It will be difficult to get a full scholarship with a 2:2 degree. You can probably try a partial scholarship.

Joe.
