Scholarship For Ph.D/Masters Programme

by Ginikanwa
(Lagos, Nigeria)

How possible is it to obtain a full scholarship for a masters programme or a PhD with a tuition fee of about 10,000.00 pounds. Must I have an admission to a school or not?. Is there any advantage in any case? Am I restricted to certain schools or do I have the freedom of choice of school? What areas of study would be the best targets for such awards?

I hold the following degress:

BA History (Second Class Upper Division)
M.Sc Political Science
MBA: Specialisation in Marketing
All from the University of Lagos

I am keely interested in developmental studies as I strongly believe that this is the most important area of need for my country Nigeria and the entire African continent.

Thank you.

WARS AND SOCIETY

I have been considering to research on wars and development with a paradigm shift from what has been popularly held in the academia that wars are catalysts to development. My interest in war is based on the fact that so far as men interact with one another there is bound to be acrimony which would culminate in full blown war. The impact of wars on humanity becomes very germane to research on. The degree of war varies from one to the other nonetheless the consequences would have telling effects on the people in a very long time to come whether positive or negative irrespective of the degree of these wars.
