Save the Children International Warns of Fake Recruitment Exercise

A job scam occurs when a scammer poses as an employer or recruiter & offers attractive employment opportunities which require that the job seeker pay money in advance. This is usually under the guise of work visas, travel expenses, background checks, credit checks or medical examination required for the job.

Save the Children International Warns of Fake Recruitment Exercise

Public Notice: Save the Children International is an international NGO, registered to operate in Kenya by the NGO Coordination Board.

Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children. We work in around 120 countries. We save children’s lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfil their potential.

It has come to our attention that certain individuals have been masquerading as affiliates of Save the Children in Kenya, in order to defraud the Public.

They have claimed to recruit interns on behalf of Save the Children in return for an “administration fee”.

Save the Children wishes to state for the public record that it has no affiliation whatsoever with these individuals and we never charge application fees for any kind of recruitment that we undertake.

We also wish to state for the public record that Save the Children in Kenya has no relationship whatsoever with an organisation called “Living Waters International”, which has set up a website with a web address that is similar to Save the Children’s to solicit donations from the public.

We are in no way affiliated to this organisation and our official site is stated in this notice.
