PKF International Dairy Manager, Quality Assurance Supervisor and Accountant Jobs in Kenya

Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the Kenyan economy for their contribution to employment, innovation and diversity.

Despite their importance to economic growth, the sector faces some challenges that hinder their growth and success key among them lack of access to information, inadequate skills and expertise, poor management and lack of access to markets.

To support their growth, our Enterprise Management Unit has developed a Growth Package targeting SMEs and farmers within the dairy value chain.

The package aims at enabling them to unlock growth potential and improve the quality of incomes and ultimately returns at very concessionary terms.

In view of this we seek to recruit experienced and highly motivated individuals to fill the following positions:

Dairy Manager

Ref: HR/DM/PKF/01

Reporting to the Management Committee/Board, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the profitability and diversity of the Dairy business and bring year on year incremental revenues from milk collection whilst ensuring effective and efficient dairy management controls are developed and adhered to.

Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Agriculture or related field

Post graduate or professional diploma in Management from a recognized institution will be an added advantage

A Minimum of five (5) years post experience

Experience in dairy management preferably in a milk production set up

Must have ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate assigned goals

Should be an effective communicator with the ability to handle both internal and external communication

Should have effective people management and conflict resolution skills

Quality Assurance Supervisor

Ref: HR/QAS/PKF/02

Reporting to the Dairy Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of milk the Dairy Hub (DH) receives from farmers is of the highest quality standards, prepare and submit monthly quality reports to the management team.

Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies

Certificate in Dairy Technology or equivalent

Diploma in Food Science

is an added advantage

Valid food handling certificate

Minimum Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Education

Minimum of two (2) years in quality assurance in a milk processing set up

Milk processing and supervisory skills.

Should have ability to solve problems by applying relevant sector knowledge

Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication

Accountant

Ref: HR/ACCT/PKF/03

Reporting to the Dairy Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of accurate records as well as reconciliation of financial accounts with source documents including formulation of financial and accounting procedures and policies.

Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related field is an added advantage

CPA (K) or its equivalent;

Member of ICPAK

A minimum of four 4 years of relevant working experience;

Demonstrate ability to use computerized accounting systems;

Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice

Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Should demonstrate professional expertise in the relevant work area

Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication
