5. Manager Internal Audit Jobs in Kenya (1 Post) (Grade 12) – HRA/IA/01/2016


Reporting functionally to the Board of Directors through Audit and Compliance Committee and administratively to the Director General, the job holder will be responsible for developing strategies to ensure assurance that the Authority’s network of risk management, controls, and governance processes, as designed and represented by the management are adequate and functioning.

The job holder will also be responsible for:
  • Being the Secretary to the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board;
  • Promoting good corporate governance and compliance with various laws and regulations impacting on the Authority’s operations;
  • Developing a fraud investigation strategy and ensuring its implementation;
  • Developing and implementing sound Audit Management Systems in accordance with International Auditing Standards;
  • Liaising with the External Auditors;
  • Coordinating responses to Management letters from the external auditors;
  • Coordinating Implementation of recommendations of Public Investment Committee (PIC) reports
  • Coordination on risk management exercises and ensuring implementation of Risk Management Framework;
  • Undertaking special audit investigations as may be required from time to time;

    The successful candidate must:
  • Have a Master’s degree in the following discipline: MBA-Finance or Accounting option, MSc. Finance or Accounting option or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or Business Management (Finance or Accounting option) or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) /Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) Finalist or
    equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Have at least ten (10) years’ relevant work experience in State owned organization three (3) of which must be in a Senior Management level;
  • Be a registered member of ICPAK in good standing;
  • Have a Management/Leadership course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Be Proficient in Computerized Accounting/ Auditing skills;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.

    6. Internal Audit Assistant Jobs in Kenya (3 Posts) (Grade 7) – HRA/IA/02/2016

    Reporting to the Internal Auditor II, the job holder will be responsible for:

  • Post-auditing of payment documents to confirm compliance with set internal controls;
  • reviewing of internal control systems and reporting on any weaknesses;
  • undertaking specific audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observation reports;
  • checking on budgetary controls to ensure compliance with the set budget and work plans;
  • checking on internal controls on levy collection to advice on deviation in approved
    levels;
  • confirming that the Authority’s assets, plant and equipment, supplies, stores are appropriately recorded and the registers are maintained;
  • following up on implementation of recommendations of the external auditors.

    The successful candidate must:
  • Have a Diploma in Accounting/Internal Audit, OR CPA II /(CIA) II from a recognized Institution;
  • Have at least two (2) years relevant work experience;
  • Be Proficient in computer applications in Accounting/Audit packages.

    7. Legal Officer Jobs in Kenya
    (1 Post) (Grade 9) HRA/LA/01/2016

    Reporting to the Manager Legal Affairs Officer, the job holder will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring compliance with legal regulatory framework;
  • Advising on negotiations of contracts, tenders and agreements, MOU;
  • Interpreting legal opinions and offering guidance on legal requirements;
  • Advising on principals of corporate governance;
  • Prosecuting and representing the Authority in law courts and quasi-judicial tribunals;
  • Drawing and executing letters of offer/contract;
  • Preparing and filing of pleadings for and on behalf of the Authority.

    The successful candidate must:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Law,
  • Have a Post graduate diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law;
  • Be an Advocate of the High Court;
  • Have at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization;
  • Be a member of Law Society of Kenya (LSK);
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professional competence;
  • Be Proficient in computer applications.

    Supply Chain Management Department

    8. Manager Supply Chain Management Jobs in Kenya
    (1 Post) (Grade 12) – HRA/SCM/01/2016

    Reporting to Director General, the jobholder will be responsible for coordination of various
    activities in procurement and delivery of inputs for specified requirements in accordance with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015 and any other laws and policy documents that impact on procurement.

    The job holder will also be responsible for:
  • Ensuring that all procurements are carried out in line with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015.
  • Advising the Authority on all procurement issues;
  • Formulating, interpreting and implementing the procurement regulations;
  • Ensuring that processing of tenders for procurement of goods and services are as per the laid down policies and procedures;
  • Formulating and implementing strategies on local and overseas procurement of goods and services
  • Reviewing of procurement policies and procedures based on best procurement practice
  • Identifying potential cost saving areas through competitive tendering and negotiations;
  • Liaising with other heads of Directorates/ Departments in identifying, planning and budgeting for development of procurement plan.

    The successful candidate must:
  • Have a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or any other relevant, related and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or any other relevant, related and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Have a Post graduate diploma in supply chain management (level VI);
  • Have at least ten(10) years’ relevant work experience in State owned organization three (3) of which must be in a Senior Management level;
  • Have a Management/Leadership course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or any other relevant professional body;
  • Demonstrate high degree of professional competence in Supply Chain Management work and administrative capability in work performance and
    results;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity;
  • Be Proficient in computer applications skills.
