11. National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation Asset Management Officer Jobs in Kenya - 1 Post - Ref: AMO/5/11/2017


The position is responsible to the Administration Officer II.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance of Commission's property.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports to management.
  • Prepare, maintain and organize inspection reports for all completed works.
  • Interpret engineering and architectural drawings, comparing their details with the work on site.

    Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture from a recognized institution
  • Four (4) years’ experience in the relevant field
  • Demonstrate skills in the areas of design, presentation and technical area
  • Show administrative ability by being conversant with government procedures
  • Proficiency with Auto CAD/Civil 3 Dimensions
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Products and Presentation software
  • A Higher Diploma will be an added advantage

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recording dictation in short hand and transcribing it in type written form
  • Typing from drafts, manuscripts or recording from dictation machine
  • Processing data
  • Operating office equipment
  • Management of e-office
  • Management of office protocol
  • Managing office petty cash
  • Handling telephone calls and appointments
  • Ensuring securing of office records, documents and equipments
  • Undertaking any other secretarial duties that may be assigned
  • An officer at this level may be required to work for more than one officer

    Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

  • Served in the grade of Office Administrator II or any other relevant and comparable position in the Public Service or private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • A Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Studies or a Bachelor of Business and Office; Management from a recognized institution;

    OR

  • A Bachelors Degree in Social Science plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution;
  • A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
  • A certificate in Public Relations and Customer Care Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from Kenya School of Government or any other government institution; and
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
