Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the vetting of applications for licensing of research;
  • Participate in updating and maintaining the database for licensed research;
  • Participate in licensing, monitoring and evaluation processes and procedures are fully integrated;
  • Participate in the preparation of appropriate checklists for processing all applications for licensing;
  • Prepare reports from Monitor, evaluate and inspect all licensed research projects;
  • Participate in awareness creation among stakeholders on the criteria for licensing of research;

    Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

  • Master Degree from a recognized university in Project Management, Humanities and Social Sciences and other Sciences with three (3) years’ experience;
  • Data entry and database management skills.

  • Scientific writing and publishing;
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory and management reports including final accounts; ensure compliance with treasury regulations and procedures;
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers;
  • prepare bank reconciliation statements, process payments and keep accurate debtors and creditors accounts;
  • Initiate budget proposals and financial plans and prepare budget control reports;
  • Ensure audit schedules are provided to the auditors;
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports;

    Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce or related discipline from a recognised institution;
  • Six (6) years of experience in a key role in Finance and Accounts section for a medium Sized Organization;
  • CPA III or ACCA III qualification;
  • Member of relevant professional body in good standing
  • Computer applications skills;
  • Demonstrated competence as reflected in work performance;
  • Demonstrated honesty, confidentiality and integrity;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;

    7. National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation Human Resource Officer II Jobs in Kenya - 1 Post - REF: HRMO/8 /7/2017

    The position is responsible to the Senior Human Resource Management Officer for ensuring effective coordination of all HR functions including recruitment & selection, policies and procedures, learning and development, employee records and documentation, employee relations and performance management.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide human resource administrative support through managing staff leave, personnel files, confidential correspondence and compilation of relevant reports
  • Management of staff performance and rewards thereof;
  • Assist in processing recruitment,selection, placement and staff separation;
  • Ensure submission of staff performance reports on semi- annually and annually basis;
  • Implement various HR policies and procedures;
  • Monitor implementation of performance contracting programs and provide reports thereof on quarterly and annually basis;
  • Maintenance of work environment, occupational health and safety standards and management of staff welfare programmes;
  • Maintain an up to date staff database;
  • Ensure effective provision of all office services i.e. telephone, registry, transport, office supplies, cleanliness of offices and other facilities.
  • Handle the Commission’s insurance matters in liaison with other relevant stakeholders

    Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Science and a post graduate Higher Diploma in HRM with a minimum five (5) years of experience.

    OR

  • Served in the grade of Human Resource Management Assistant I or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of six(6) years and be in possession of a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
  • Member of relevant professional body
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Problem solving skills and initiative
